In the middle of July, gooseberry branches begin to bend under the weight of ripe berries. It's time to harvest and do conservation. Today we will focus on how to make jam from yellow gooseberries. Everything is amazingly simple!
Ingredients
- Gooseberry (yellow) – 2 kg
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Citric acid - on the tip of the knife
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Sort the gooseberries, clean them from dry tails and rinse thoroughly.
Put the berries in a saucepan, cover with sugar and leave for 2-3 hours.
Boil for 10 minutes, remove from heat and cool.
Put the pan on the fire again, add citric acid and boil for 5-7 minutes.
Put the hot jam in clean, dry jars and roll it up.
