Try this recipe and you will surely refer to it often. The dough for a lean honey cake is prepared with water and vegetable oil, and coconut cream is used for the cream. A very simple and convenient way to prepare an appetizing dessert.

Ingredients

For Dough:
  • Flour - 380 g
  • Honey - 150 g
  • Sugar - 200 g
  • Baking soda - 1 tsp.
  • Vanillin - at the tip of the knife
  • Vegetable oil - 110 ml
  • Water - 100 ml
For cream:
  • Cream (coconut) – 500 ml
  • Powdered sugar - 4 art.l.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Mix sugar and honey, melt in a water bath.

Pour in the soda, stir and warm up for 2-3 minutes.

Remove the bowl from the water bath, add vanilla, butter, flour and warm water. Knead the soft dough, cover with cling film and set aside for 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into 6 identical parts, roll out the cakes and bake in turn in the oven at 180 degrees. The cakes will bake quickly, so do not go far from the oven.

Fry one cake more than the others, and then crumble with a rolling pin. It will be a crumb for decorating the cake.

Whisk coconut cream with powdered sugar until stable peaks.

Assemble a lean honey cake, generously greasing the cakes with cream.

Brush the top with the remnants of the cream, sprinkle with the prepared crumbs and put in the refrigerator for a few hours.
