Who has tried belevskaya pastille, he knows that its taste is impossible to forget. The recipe was invented more than 100 years ago and still has not lost its popularity. However, it is not so easy to find it in stores. So let's make a pastille at home!
Ingredients
- Apples (sweet) – 1 kg
- Sugar - 200 g
- Egg whites - 2 pieces
- Powdered sugar - 1 tbsp.l .
- Salt - 0,25 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the apples, put them on a baking sheet covered with foil, and bake for 30-40 minutes.
Separate the apple mass from the seeds, peel and rub through a sieve.
Add sugar and beat with a mixer at maximum speed. The mass should turn white.
In a separate bowl, whisk the whites with salt until sharp peaks.
Combine the whites with applesauce and whisk for another 10 minutes.
Put the fourth part of the resulting mass in the refrigerator. Put the rest on two baking sheets covered with baking paper. The thickness should be 1-1.5 centimeters.
Dry the pastille for 5-6 hours at a temperature of 80 degrees.
Separate the finished dessert from the baking paper and cut into small pieces.
Assemble the pieces, smearing with the remaining mass from the refrigerator, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
