We are all used to the fact that shawarma is considered street food and you need to buy it in cute stalls. But, who said that this snack can't be made at home? Moreover, homemade shawarma turns out even tastier! Let's cook it with chicken and vegetables today.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Cut the chicken into small pieces and fry in oil until golden brown.

Add salt, ground pepper and mix.

Chop tomatoes, cabbage and peeled onion.

Mix mayonnaise with ketchup and garlic passed through the press.

Spread the pita bread on the table and, using a silicone brush, smear with the resulting sauce.

Occupying the third part of the wide side of the pita bread, lay out layers of chicken, cabbage, tomatoes and onions.

Tuck the loose sides inside and roll the pita bread into a tight roll. Repeat the steps with the rest of the pita bread and filling.

Brown the finished shawarma in a dry frying pan on both sides.
