Calzone with cheese and ham

A distinctive feature of this dish is the bizarre shape of the crescent moon. The thing is that the filling is laid out on one half of the cake and covered with the second. I tell you in more detail in the recipe of calzone with cheese and ham. Try it, you'll like it!


For Dough:
  • Flour - 350 g
  • Olive oil - 2 tbsp.l.
  • Dry yeast - 6 g
  • Sugar - 0,5 tsp.
  • Salt - 0,5 tsp.
  • Water (warm) – 200 ml
For filling:

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Sift flour into a wide bowl, mix with salt, sugar and yeast.

Pour in the oil, warm water and knead the dough. Cover with plastic wrap and put in a warm place for half an hour.

Chop the ham, tomatoes and peeled garlic.

Put the garlic in a preheated frying pan with oil and fry for 20-30 seconds.

Add the tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

Knead the dough slightly and roll out a thin cake.

Brush half with sauce, put ham and fried tomatoes.

Sprinkle with grated cheese, cover with the second half of the cake and seal the edges tightly.

Place the workpiece on a baking sheet, brush with the remains of olive oil.

Bake for 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 190 degrees.
