If you need to increase the amount of vegetable protein in your diet or just have a hearty snack, prepare a lean pea paste. With dried tomatoes, capers and onions, the snack turns out to be incredibly fragrant and appetizing.
Ingredients
- Peas (dry) – 300 g
- Dried tomatoes - 50 g
- Capers - 1 tsp.
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Lemon juice - 2 tbsp.l.
- Ground coriander - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Water - 1,2 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pre-soak the peas for 4-6 hours.
Flip into a colander, rinse and fill with fresh water.
Boil the peas until tender. On average, it takes 30-40 minutes.
Peel the onion and garlic from the husk, chop.
Put boiled peas, onions, garlic, dried tomatoes and capers in a blender bowl. Grind to a homogeneous consistency.
Add lemon juice, ground coriander, salt and turn on the blender for another 1 minute. The thickness of the pate can be adjusted by adding the remaining broth in small portions.
