The specifics of marinating wild mushrooms are slightly different from cooking champignons. I want to share with you a recipe for wonderful homemade honey mushrooms. They will adequately complement a family dinner, a festive table or a friendly picnic.
Ingredients
- Honeydew - 2.5 kg
- Water (for marinade) – 1 l
- Salt - 2 tbsp.l .
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Vinegar (9%) – 3 art.l.
- Black Pepper - 4 peas
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the honeydew and pour cold water for half an hour. Put them in a colander and let them dry.
Boil more water, and lower the mushrooms into it for 5 minutes.
Separately boil water for the marinade, and add bay leaf, pepper, sugar and salt to it.
Boil for a couple of minutes, pour the honeydew marinade and simmer under the lid for another 10 minutes.
Arrange the mushrooms in jars, pour in the vinegar and let them brew for at least a few days.
