Sunny slopes of Greece, endless vineyards and the scent of the sea! In this wonderful country, even shawarma is cooked in a special way. The meat may be different, but mint and appetizing tzatziki are unchanged. I share a recipe for shawarma with pork in Greek.
Ingredients
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the pork, dry it and cut it into small pieces.
Chop mint, peeled bell pepper and onion.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and fry until golden brown.
Add pork and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add bell pepper, ground pepper, oregano, salt and turn off after 3 minutes.
Scald lime with boiling water and cut into eight pieces.
Cut the pita in half and open it so that you get envelopes.
Smear the sauce inside the pita, put some pork with vegetables and add mint.
Sprinkle the filling of the finished shawarma with juice from a piece of lime. Repeat the steps with the rest of the pitas and the filling.
