Breaded cheese is already a familiar snack, but fried cheese without it can still surprise. Only a few types are suitable for such recipes. One of them is halumi, who came to us from Cyprus and Greece, and now we are also very fond of Georgian cuisine.
Ingredients
- Cheese (halumi) – 230 g
- Olive oil - 15 ml
- Ground pink pepper - 1 pinch
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut haloumi cheese into slices about 1 cm thick.
Dry it with paper napkins and thoroughly lubricate it with olive oil on both sides.
Sprinkle with ground pink pepper.
Preheat a non-stick frying pan over high heat.
Without reducing the temperature, fry the cheese slices for about a minute on one side and 1-2 minutes on the second.
I advise you to serve haloumi with herbs or cherry tomatoes.
