Only young fern shoots are used in cooking. They can be found in the supermarket in the conservation departments. Fern is prepared in Korean with various additives. I suggest a recipe with string beans and carrots.
Ingredients
- String beans - 200 g
- Greenery (fern) – 100 g
- Carrots - 100 g
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Apple cider vinegar - 2 art.l.
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.l.
- Ground red pepper - 0,3 tsp.
- Ground coriander - 0,3 tsp.
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 0,5 tsp.
- Water - 1 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the string beans into small pieces.
Pour into boiling water, boil for 5 minutes, and then discard in a colander.
Open a jar of canned fern and prepare as indicated in the instructions.
Grate the carrots on a special grater.
Sprinkle with salt, sugar, spices and pour hot oil.
Add string beans, fern, vinegar and garlic passed through a press.
Stir, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
