In order not to break your head for a long time, prepare sandwiches with pate for the festive table. An ordinary snack will sparkle with new colors if you supplement it with caramelized cranberries. Both fresh and frozen berries are suitable for this recipe.
Ingredients
- Chicken liver - 300 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Wine - 80 ml
- Vegetable oil - 50 ml
- Butter - 40 g
- Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - 0,5 tsp.
- Cranberries - handful
- Sugar - 2 art.l.
- Rosemary - 1 twig
- Salt - on the tip of the knife
- Baguette - 1 piece
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the onion from the husk and finely chop it.
Put on a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil and fry until golden brown.
Add the liver and cook for 7-10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Pour in the wine, season with salt and pepper. Simmer all together for 5 minutes.
Add soft butter and puree with an immersion blender until smooth.
Put the cranberries in a small saucepan, cover with sugar and simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
Add salt, a sprig of rosemary and continue cooking for another 3-5 minutes.
Cut the baguette into small pieces and lightly fry in a dry frying pan.
Grease the baguette with pate, decorate with cranberries.
