In the classic forshmak, an apple is used, but this does not mean that other fruits or vegetables cannot be added. For example, a crisp fresh cucumber is great. It is moderately juicy, and gives the snack a delicate and soft texture.
Ingredients
- Herring (fillet) – 400 g
- Cucumbers - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Chicken eggs - 3 pieces
- White bread - 2 slices
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the hard-boiled eggs, and soak the bread in water.
Grate the cucumber on a grater and lightly squeeze.
In the same way, lightly squeeze the bread and pass it through a meat grinder with herring, onions and eggs.
Add the grated cucumber and mix the forshmak.
