It is believed that the first shawarma was cooked in Damascus. Over the years, it has become incredibly popular, many interesting recipes have appeared. Today I propose to cook a delicious snack with bacon, fried potatoes and hot pepper.
Ingredients
- Lavash (thin) – 4 pieces
- Bacon - 250 g
- Potatoes (fried) – 250 g
- Cucumbers - 2 pieces
- Hot red pepper - 1 pod
- Onion - 1 piece
- Cilantro - 5 twigs
- Butter - 40 g
- Mayonnaise - 4 tbsp.l.
- Ketchup (sharp) – 4 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the bacon into small pieces and fry in oil until golden brown.
Chop cucumbers, coriander, peeled onion and hot pepper.
Spread the pita bread on the table and smear with ketchup mixed with mayonnaise.
Occupying the third part of the wide edge, lay out layers of bacon, fried potatoes, onions, cucumbers and hot peppers.
Sprinkle with chopped cilantro, wrap the sides inside and roll the shawarma into a tight roll. Repeat the steps with the rest of the pita bread and filling.
