If you have ever tried and cooked forshmak, you probably know that an apple is often added to it. But there is another interesting option – forshmak with celery. Once I tried it as an experiment, and it was definitely a success.
Ingredients
- Herring (fillet) – 3 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Celery - 2 stems
- Apples - 1 piece
- Chicken eggs - 3 pieces
- White bread - 2 slices
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
- Olive oil - 2 art.l.
- Vinegar - 1 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil hard-boiled eggs and peel, and soak the bread in water beforehand.
Double-mince herring with onion, peeled apple, eggs, celery and bread.
Add spices, vinegar and oil, and mix forshmak.
