It is rare to find the perfect shawarma in every sense, so I usually cook it at home. As you know, there are a lot of recipes for this popular snack. I suggest a more useful option with turkey, avocado and fragrant herbs.
Ingredients
- Lavash (thin) – 2 of the sheet
- Turkey (boiled) – 350 g
- Avocado - 2 pieces
- Cherry tomatoes - 250 g
- Green onion - 3 of the stem
- Cilantro (different) – 4 twigs
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Lettuce - 4 leaf
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.l.
- Sour cream - 2 art.l.
- Mayonnaise - 2 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the boiled turkey into small pieces.
Peel the avocado, slice and sprinkle with lemon juice.
Tear the lettuce leaves with your hands. Chop tomatoes, coriander and green onions with a knife.
Mix mayonnaise, sour cream and garlic passed through the press.
Spread the pita bread on the table and smear with the resulting sauce.
On the bottom third of the wide edge, lay out layers of lettuce leaves, turkey, green onions, tomatoes and avocado.
Sprinkle with chopped cilantro, gently tuck the edges inside and roll up a tight roll. Repeat the steps with the second pita bread and the remaining filling.
Cut the finished shawarma in half to make small portions.
