An incredibly popular and convenient French snack is a sandwich called croc-monsieur. This translates from French as "striped cloak" and literally refers to the characteristic stripes that remain from roasting.
Ingredients
For sandwich:
- Ham - 4 slices
- White bread - 4 slices
- Dijon mustard - 1 tbsp.l .
- Cheese - 50 g
- Parmesan (grated) – 1 tbsp.l.

Step-by-step cooking recipe
Dry the bread in a dry pan or in the oven.
For the sauce, fry the flour in butter until browned.
Pour in the milk, stirring constantly, boil the sauce until thick and add spices.
Brush two slices of bread with mustard, lay out the ham and sprinkle with a mixture of grated cheeses.
Cover with two more slices of bread and pour over the sauce. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
Put the sandwiches in the oven for 5-7 minutes at 180 degrees.
