If you like unusual combinations of flavors, try cooking shawarma with mackerel. The fish is pre-cut into fillets and baked in the oven. Be sure to season it with lemon or lime juice. This will help to make the taste brighter.

- Mackerel - 1 carcass
- Tomatoes - 150 g
- Onion - 100 g
- Lettuce - 2 of the sheet
- Mayonnaise - 3 art.l.
- Lemon juice - 50 ml
- Ground coriander - to taste
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Lavash (thin) – 2 of the sheet
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Gut the mackerel, remove the head, tail and fins.
Cut in half, take out the spine and bones.
Put the fillets on a covered baking sheet, sprinkle with spices and salt. Bake for 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
Put the finished fillet on a board, sprinkle with lemon juice and use a fork to separate it from the skin.
Chop tomatoes and peeled onions.
Spread the pita bread on the table and smear with mayonnaise.
Lay out the salad leaf, add the mackerel fillet, onion and tomatoes.
Tuck the sides and bottom edge inside, roll the shawarma.
Brown the finished shawarma on the grill.
