If the usual apricot compote seems too sweet to you, a little lemon juice will solve this problem. And at the same time it is an additional natural preservative when it comes to preparations for the winter. And no acid or vinegar is needed.

Disassemble the apricots into halves, put them in sterile jars and cover with sugar.

Pour boiling water over the fruit, leave it under the lid for 10 minutes and pour the syrup into a saucepan.

Boil it again, add lemon juice, pour apricots and roll up the jars.
