Kvass has been embedded in our culture for so long that it is constantly mentioned in folk songs, poems and literature. In addition to the classic bread recipes, flax kvass stands apart – it is also popular, incredibly healthy, low-calorie and just very unusual.
Ingredients
- Water - 3 l
- Flax Seeds - 160 g
- Raisins - 100 g
- Black bread - 400 g
- Sugar - 300 g
- Dry yeast - 15 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Dry the bread on breadcrumbs, chop, add sugar and pour hot water.
Let the workpiece cool down to about 35 degrees. Add yeast, raisins and mix.
Add flax seeds crushed in a coffee grinder to the same place.
Mix the kvass and leave it for 2-3 minutes in a dark, warm place.
Strain the kvass and add more sugar if desired.
