Many people believe that kvass is a summer drink. In fact, you can cook it at any time of the year. For example, in the middle of September comes a great time for cranberry kvass. In addition to berries, the recipe uses dry yeast, sugar and citric acid.
Ingredients
- Cranberries - 1 kg
- Sugar - 350 g
- Dry yeast - 1 tbsp.l .
- Citric acid - 0,5 tsp.
- Water (filtered) – 5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the cranberries and mash them with a pusher until they are mushy.
Add water, boil for 5 minutes and cool to 35 degrees.
Take a small amount of liquid and mix it with yeast.
In an enameled saucepan, mix warm compote, sugar, citric acid and the preparation with yeast. Stir, cover with gauze and put in a dark warm place for 2 days.
Strain, pour into plastic bottles and put in the refrigerator for another 3 days.
