Amazing Italian sauce based on tomatoes and hot pepper. The traditional recipe uses fresh parsley. I didn't have it, so I had to add Provencal herbs. In my opinion, the Arabiata sauce turned out very tasty.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 500 g
- Hot red pepper - 1 piece
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Olive oil - 2 tbsp.l .
- Wine vinegar - 2 art.l.
- Provencal herbs - 0,5 tsp.
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 0,5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop tomatoes in a blender and rub through a sieve.
Cut the hot pepper in half, remove the seeds and stalk, slice.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add hot pepper, garlic passed through a press and fry for 1 minute.
Add tomato mass, sugar, salt, herbs of Provence and simmer for 15 minutes on low heat.
Pour in the vinegar, stir and remove from the stove after 2 minutes.
