Today I propose to cook an original herring under a fur coat. This salad does not require special culinary skills and a lot of time. The only difficulty lies only in preparing and slicing the herring. That is why I often buy ready-made fillets!
Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 2 fillet
- Potatoes (boiled) – 250 g
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Green peas (canned) – 100 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Carrots (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Parsley - 1 twig
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the herring into small pieces. Grate the cooked vegetables on a coarse grater, chop the onion with a knife.
On a wide dish, lay out layers of herring, onions and potatoes. Season with salt, pepper and mayonnaise. Add carrots and green peas.
Put the top layer of lettuce from beets mixed with mayonnaise.
Decorate the finished salad with a sprig of parsley and put it in the refrigerator for 1.5-2 hours.
