Worcestershire sauce is often found in English cuisine. It is used for dressing salads, added to ready-made dishes and marinades. Interestingly, this sauce is a mandatory component of the popular drink "Bloody Mary".
Ingredients
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Chili pepper - half a string
- Ginger - 50 g
- Mustard Seeds - 50 g
- Wine vinegar - 400 ml
- Soy sauce - 120 ml
- Carnation - 1 bud
- Cardamom - 4 boxes
- Cinnamon - 1 wand
- Sugar - 3 art.l.
- Salt - 2 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Finely chop the chili pepper, peeled onion, ginger and garlic.
Put the chopped ingredients in a small saucepan.
Add salt, cinnamon, mustard seeds, cardamom, cloves, soy sauce and wine vinegar. Boil over low heat for 10 minutes.
Melt the sugar separately in a frying pan.
Pour the hot caramel into a saucepan and cook all together for another 5 minutes.
Turn off the heat, cool the sauce slightly, and then strain.
Pour into a small bottle and store in the refrigerator.
