One of the integral parts of Georgian cuisine is this tkemali sauce. It has such an unusual and expressive taste that there are no analogues in any cuisine in the world. Today I propose to cook tkemali with nuts – an excellent variation of the classics.
Ingredients
- Plums - 700 g
- Chili pepper - 1 piece
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Cilantro - 0.5 beam
- Walnuts - 60 g
- Hop-suneli - 1 tsp.
- Ground coriander - 0.5 tsp.
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Remove the seeds from the plum and pass the fruits through a meat grinder.
Add a couple of spoonfuls of water.
Bring to a boil and boil for 10 minutes.
Chop the roasted nuts, cilantro, garlic and chili in a blender.
Add to the plums along with spices.
Boil the tkemali for another 5 minutes.
