In Greece, delicious tzatziki is often served with bread or tortillas. Thanks to cucumbers and herbs, the sauce turns out refreshing and very fragrant. Be sure to add a little mint. It is she who gives those very Mediterranean notes.
Ingredients
- Sour cream (fat content 20%) – 300 g
- Cucumbers (medium) – 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Dill - half-pack
- Mint - 2 twigs
- Olive oil - 1 tbsp.l.
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.l.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Finely chop mint and dill.
Peel the cucumbers and grate them on a fine grater.
Put the cucumbers in cheesecloth and squeeze out the excess juice.
Mix sour cream, cucumbers, herbs, salt, oil, ground pepper and lemon juice.
Add the garlic passed through the press, mix and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
