I usually cook the sauces myself. The list of my summer favorites is headed by tomato with basil. This is a universal supplement that can be easily combined with any dish. Tomatoes for her should be as ripe and soft as possible.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes (juicy) – 500 g
- Basil - 3 twigs
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Olive oil - 2 tbsp.l .
- Paprika - 0,5 tsp.
- Ground coriander - to taste
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Sugar - 1 art.l.
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel tomatoes and cut into medium-sized pieces.
Chop the tomatoes in a blender until smooth.
Rub the mass through a sieve to remove the bones.
Peel the garlic cloves, lightly crush with a knife blade and finely chop.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the garlic and fry until golden brown.
Pour in the tomato mass and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
Separate the basil leaves from the stiff stems and chop.
Add basil, salt, sugar and spices to the pan with tomato mass. Stir and cook for another 10 minutes.
