The recipe will appeal to everyone who is interested in Japanese cuisine and loves original seasonings. Ponzu sauce has a very rich and complex taste. There are notes of citrus, the freshness of ginger and the spicy aroma of soy sauce.
Ingredients
- Orange - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 clove
- Ginger - 20 g
- Hot red pepper - half a string
- Rice vinegar - 3 art.l.
- Soy sauce - 150 ml
- Salt - 0,5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Squeeze the juice out of the orange.
Pour into a small saucepan and boil for 5-7 minutes over low heat. This is done in order to make the citrus taste more concentrated.
Finely chop a third of the orange peel.
Chop the hot pepper, peeled garlic and ginger root.
Mix soy sauce, boiled orange juice, salt, rice vinegar and a billet with hot pepper.
Before serving, the ponzu sauce should infuse for 10-15 minutes.
