Peel and finely chop the ginger root.

In a small saucepan, mix soy sauce, sugar, ginger, butter, honey, rice wine and garlic passed through a press.

Stir starch in water and pour into a saucepan.

Boil the teriyaki over low heat for 5-7 minutes. Cool, pour into a container with a lid and send to the refrigerator for 5-6 hours.
