A very interesting way to diversify the classic ketchup is to add a little beetroot to it. It gives an original shade to the taste, which is almost impossible to immediately recognize. And it also gives the sauce an incredibly bright deep color.
Ingredients
- Beetroot - 400 g
- Starch - 1 tsp.
- Sugar - 1 tbsp.l.
- Apple cider vinegar - 1 tbsp.l .
- Spices and seasonings - 1 art.l.
- Garlic - 2 teeth
- Vegetable oil - 20 ml
- Onion - 1 piece
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the beets until soft.
Chop the onion and fry until golden in oil.
Grind everything together in a blender and add 100-150 ml of water.
Add all the spices and garlic.
Simmer the ketchup for about 20 minutes on low heat.
