Sweet and sour sauce is very often used in Asian cuisine. It is prepared on the basis of rice vinegar and tomato paste. Very fast, simple and incredibly delicious. I like to serve sauce with baked duck or grilled meat.
Ingredients
- Water - 150 g
- Corn Starch - 1 tbsp.l.
- Sugar - 100 g
- Rice vinegar - 60 g
- Tomato paste - 2 art.l.
- Salt - 1 pinch
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Dissolve starch in water and pour it into a small ladle.
Add all the other ingredients and cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Cool the sauce completely and put it in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours.
