Chop the onion and garlic, and fry until transparent.
Add grated ginger and spices, stir and fry for another minute.
Add the chopped parsnips and fry for another 5 minutes.
Fill with water so that it completely covers the vegetables. Cook until soft for about 25 minutes.
Add the grated apple, pour in the milk and cream, and bring to a boil again.
Chop the soup with a blender and add spices to taste.
