I always serve Korean daikon separately, as an independent salad. Its taste is so good that it does not need any additions. Unless you can sprinkle it with sesame seeds, chopped herbs or chili pepper to taste.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Cut the daikon into cubes, add sugar and salt and mix. Leave it on for half an hour.

Drain the juice that has stood out and leave it for now.

Add chopped onion, garlic and ginger to the daikon.

Add chili, sesame seeds and other spices if desired.

Pour in the fish sauce and mix again. Add a little of the drained liquid as needed.

Serve daikon immediately or leave it to brew in the refrigerator.
