Looking for recipes for a festive table? I advise you to cook herring under a white fur coat. The wonderful salad will remain the same delicious, but it will look in a new way. As a decoration, you can use greens, pieces of beetroot or carrots.
Ingredients
- Herring (lightly salted) – 1 piece
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Cheese (solid) – 100 g
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Iceberg lettuce (for decoration) – 2 leaf
- Dill (for decoration) – 1 twig
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring, gut and cut into small pieces.
Chop onion with a knife, grate boiled vegetables, eggs and cheese.
Put lettuce leaves, layers of herring, onion and beetroot on a wide plate. Season with salt, pepper and mayonnaise.
Add carrots, then potatoes and sprinkle with salt and pepper again.
Mix the eggs with mayonnaise and place gently on the potatoes.
Sprinkle the salad with cheese, garnish with dill and refrigerate for 2 hours.
