If you haven't tried Hawaiian poke yet, it's time to make this exotic salad. I'm sharing with you a simple basic recipe. Having dealt with the base, you will be able to mix ingredients and experiment with flavors depending on your preferences.

Rinse the rice under running water and boil until tender.
Cut the onion into small cubes, chop the green onions. Peel the ginger root and grate it on a fine grater.
Cut the salmon fillet into large cubes.
Prepare the marinade: in a bowl, mix ginger, honey, soy sauce and sesame oil. Marinate the fish, add onion, salt to taste and put everything in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Cut the avocado in half, remove the bone, carefully remove the pulp with a spoon and cut it into slices.
Put the rice on the bottom of a deep bowl, then the avocado and fish. Optionally, you can add any other vegetables, cut into strips. Before serving, garnish the dish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.
Serve poke with salmon and avocado to the table with soy sauce and sliced triangles of nori leaf.
