New Year's table always wants to be decorated in a special way. Therefore, today I propose to serve herring under a fur coat in portions in cups. The salad looks beautiful, presentable and, moreover, it is stored longer!
Ingredients
- Herring (finished fillet) – 300 g
- Beetroot - 250 g
- Potatoes - 200 g
- Carrots - 150 g
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Greens (for decoration) – 2 twigs
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the beets, potatoes and carrots, pour cold water and boil until tender.
Cut the herring and onion into small cubes. Grate eggs and boiled vegetables on a grater.
Put the potatoes, carrots, eggs and potatoes in layers in wide glasses. Season with salt, pepper and mayonnaise.
Add herring, onion, potatoes and eggs. Again sprinkle with salt, pepper and smear with mayonnaise.
Put carrots, beets and a layer of mayonnaise on top.
Decorate the finished salad with herbs and put it in the refrigerator for 1.5 hours.
