To make the color of Ukrainian borscht even brighter and the taste even richer, add a little tomato paste to it. And then in the recipe I will tell you in detail how and when to do it so that it turns out as successfully and harmoniously as possible.
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 1 piece
- Beetroot - 1 piece
- Tomato paste - 3 tbsp.l .
- Sauerkraut - 200 g
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Bell pepper - 1 piece
- Celery root - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tbsp.l.
- Potatoes - 300 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the chicken until tender. Add the chopped potatoes and cook for another 10 minutes.
Grate carrots, beets and celery root. Chop the onion and pepper. Fry everything together for 7 minutes on medium heat, stirring.
Add sauerkraut and tomato paste to the vegetables. Pour in some broth, simmer for another 7 minutes and season.
Put the roast in a saucepan, boil the borscht for a couple of minutes and remove from the heat.
