Vodka, or rather alcohol, is another excellent preservative. Cucumbers remain juicy and crispy, retain a beautiful color and perfectly complement even a festive table. At the same time, the alcohol itself in the recipe is a minimum.
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 500 g
- Water - 0.5 l
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Dill (seeds) – 1 tsp.
- Cherry leaves - 1 piece
- Currant leaves - 1 piece
- Salt - 1 art.l.
- Vodka - 25 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Soak cucumbers in cold water for a couple of hours, cut off the tips.
Put all spices and additives, except salt and vodka, into a sterilized jar. Place the cucumbers tightly.
Add salt and pour cold water over the cucumbers. Cover with a lid and leave for 3-4 days at room temperature.
Drain the brine, boil for 3 minutes and pour back into the jar. Add vodka and roll up.
