Sometimes I want spicy food: hot pepper, mustard or ginger. For such a case, a sharp herring under a fur coat is perfect. Salad dressing is prepared with wasabi powder. To taste, you can also add red pepper flakes or mustard.
Ingredients
- Herring (finished fillet) – 300 g
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 150 g
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Celery - 2 of the stem
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp.
- Wasabi Powder - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop onion, herring and celery. Grate the eggs and other vegetables on a coarse grater.
Mix mayonnaise with wasabi and lemon juice. Stir and set aside for 10 minutes.
Lay out layers of herring, onions and potatoes. Add salt and mayonnaise.
Next arrange the carrots, celery and eggs. Add salt and mayonnaise again.
Cover the salad with a layer of beetroot and refrigerate for 1.5 hours.
