Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 1 piece
- Beetroot (boiled) – 250 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 3 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Parsley (for decoration) – 2 twigs
- Carnation (for decoration) – 2 pieces
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring from the skin and fins, gut, cut into small pieces.
Grate eggs and boiled vegetables on a coarse grater. Chop the onion with a knife.
Put the herring, onion and potatoes on a flat plate. Add salt, pepper and mayonnaise.
Place carrots, eggs and beets mixed with mayonnaise on top. Smooth the salad with a fork, giving a rounded shape.
Make a tail, ears and a piglet from beet scraps. Lay out the eyes with circles of proteins, stick a clove. Arrange the parsley and carrot flowers around.
