Cabbage is not often added to pea soups. And even more so if this cabbage is sauerkraut. But in fact it is a very popular ingredient in dishes of Hungarian, Czech, Polish and other cuisines of Europe. I'm telling you more!
Ingredients
- Smoked Meat - 300 g
- Sauerkraut - 100 g
- Peas (stabbed) – 50 g
- Potatoes - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tbsp.l.
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Water - 1.25 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Soak the peas in advance. Rinse, fill with water and boil for 10 minutes.
Add the chopped smoked meats and potatoes. Cook for 20 minutes.
Fry the onion until golden, add the cabbage and stir. Season to taste.
Send the roast to the pan and add the bay leaf there.
Boil everything together for another 10-15 minutes.
