Do you like Jewish cuisine? Then for you the classic recipe of kreplach with minced chicken. The dish is prepared from unleavened dough on chicken yolks, so it turns out such a beautiful yellow color.
Ingredients
- Minced chicken - 300 g
- Egg whites - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Vegetable oil - 1 art.l.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Sift the flour into a wide bowl, collect it with a slide and make a small depression in the middle.
Add salt, egg yolk and warm water. Knead a soft dough.
Sprinkle the dough with flour, cover with cling film and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Peel the onion from the husk and finely chop.
Fry the onion in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Mix the minced chicken, fried onion with butter, proteins, salt and ground black pepper.
Knead the dough again and divide into two identical pieces.
Roll out the dough into a thin cake and cut into identical squares.
Put the filling on the squares, fold the edges of the dough with a kerchief and seal tightly. Repeat the procedure with the rest of the dough and filling.
Boil the kreplach in salted water for 5 minutes, flip it into a colander and leave to drain for 3-4 minutes.
