Looking for a recipe for a delicious dish without meat? Try this one! Bulgur will be used instead of rice. The grits are pre-fried in oil to enhance the appetizing aroma and make it slightly crispy. Pilaf turns out to be above all praise!
Ingredients
- Bulgur - 1,5 glasses
- Bell pepper - 1 piece
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Vegetable oil - 2 art.l.
- Zira - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable broth - 600 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel and slice the bell peppers and onions. Grate the carrots.
Turn on the "Frying" mode, heat the oil and fry the onion until golden brown.
Add carrots, bell pepper and continue cooking for 4-5 minutes.
Add bulgur, cumin and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring continuously. The grits should be slightly browned.
Pour in hot water, add salt and close the lid. Cook on the "Pilaf" program for 40 minutes.
