Let's cook a simple and delicious stewed cabbage! The main feature of this recipe is that fresh and sauerkraut is used, and chicken broth is added instead of water. The dish turns out to be crispy, fragrant and moderately sour.
Ingredients
- Cabbage (white) – 600 g
- Sauerkraut - 400 g
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Chicken broth - 150 ml
- Vegetable oil - 80 ml
- Allspice - 3 peas
- Tomato sauce - 3 art.l.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Basil (for submission) – 1 twig
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the onion from the husk and finely chop it. Chop the cabbage into strips and mash it slightly with salt.
Fry the onion in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Add fresh cabbage, mix well and cook for 15 minutes.
Add sauerkraut, allspice and cover for 7 minutes.
Pour in the hot broth mixed with tomato sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes on low heat.
Add salt, pepper and remove from heat. When serving, decorate the dish with fresh basil leaves.
