I tell you how to cook delicious and fragrant cabbage soup from ready-made sauerkraut. Suitable for both home and store – the main thing is that you like it. It is simply impossible to resist such an appetizing dish!
Ingredients
- Beef (on the dice) – 500 g
- Sauerkraut - 500 g
- Potatoes - 4 pieces
- Carrots - 2 pieces
- Celery root - 50 g
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Tomato paste - 2 tbsp.l.
- Butter - 1 art.l.
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Vegetable oil - 1 art.l.
- Coriander - 1 pinch
- Cumin - 1 pinch
- Allspice - 5 peas
- Salt - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pour 2 liters of water over the beef and bring to a boil. Add 1 onion, 1 carrot and celery root, and cook for 1.5 hours.
Squeeze sauerkraut, chop and fry with a spoonful of tomato paste in butter. Add cumin and simmer for 30 minutes under the lid.
Finely chop the remaining onion and carrot, fry in vegetable oil, add coriander and other spices to taste.
Remove the meat from the broth and cut into pieces, and strain the broth and bring it to a boil again.
Add meat and potatoes to the broth and boil for 10 minutes. Then add the roast, cabbage, crushed garlic, bay leaf and pepper.
Cook everything together for another 5-7 minutes after boiling, then let the dish brew.
