If you want a real holiday with original dishes, prepare baked beef with cranberry sauce in the oven. The recipe is not simple, but the result justifies all efforts. The sauce is made from wine, I recommend using semi-dry.
Ingredients
- Water - half a glass
- Wine (red semi–dry) - 150 ml
- Cranberries - 150 g
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 0,5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the beef under running water and dry it with a paper towel.
Brush the meat with a mixture of salt, ground black pepper and olive oil.
Wrap the beef in two layers of foil and send it to a preheated 180 degree oven for 1 hour.
Open the foil, reduce the temperature to 160 degrees and bake for another 20 minutes.
In a deep saucepan, mash the cranberries with a fork, add wine, water, sugar, salt and boil this sauce over low heat for 10 minutes.
Remove the beef from the oven, cut into thin slices, pour cranberry sauce and sprinkle with rosemary.
