You can cook delicious pilaf without meat. This dish will appeal to everyone who follows the figure, adheres to fasting or simply avoids heavy food. You will need rice, a standard set of vegetables and spices. Garlic can be omitted if desired.
Ingredients
- Fig - 2 glasses
- Tomatoes - 1 piece
- Bell pepper - 1 piece
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 teeth
- Vegetable oil - 3 art.l.
- Hop-suneli - 0,5 tsp.
- Zira - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - to taste
- Cilantro (for submission) – 2 twigs
- Water (cleaned) – 800 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the tomato, carrot, peeled onion and bell pepper.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and carrot and fry until golden brown.
Add the bell pepper, tomato and crushed garlic cloves with the handle of a knife. Continue frying for 7-10 minutes.
Pour in the washed rice, salt, cumin, hops-suneli and mix.
Pour in hot water, cover with a lid and simmer for 20 minutes on low heat.
Leave the finished dish under the lid for 15 minutes. When serving, add fresh cilantro to the plate.
