I like casseroles much more than stewed or fried dishes. Firstly, a minimum of fat and definitely nothing burns. And secondly, a minimum of effort and time - it is enough to load the dish into the oven, and there it will somehow itself. I share a great recipe for casserole with pumpkin and chicken with cheese!
Ingredients
- Pumpkin - 600 g
- Chicken fillet - 1 piece
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Nutmeg - 2 pinches
- Ground black pepper (hammers) – 1 pinch
- Salt - 0.5 tsp.
- Butter - 70 g
- Cheese - 60 g
- Milk - 200 ml
- Chicken eggs - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 0.5 tsp.
- Salt - 2 pinches
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the pumpkin and cut it into small pieces, and the onion into half rings.
Cut the chicken into thin strips or cubes.
Grease the mold with butter, put half of the pumpkin, sprinkle with spices and spread the onion on top.
Then lay out a layer of chicken, pumpkin and spices again. Sometimes I mix the ingredients completely, rather than lay them out in layers.
Beat the filling of milk, eggs, sugar and salt with a fork, and pour over the casserole.
Cover with foil and put it in the oven for 35-40 minutes at 180 degrees.
Remove the foil, sprinkle the casserole with grated cheese and finish cooking for another 5-7 minutes.
