Hungarian cuisine is famous for spicy and hearty dishes. One of the most famous is goulash. It is prepared with various spices, hot pepper and garlic. I'm telling you the recipe for goulash with beef and sweet pepper!
Ingredients
- Beef - 1 kg
- Bell pepper - 400 g
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 4 clove
- Vegetable oil - 30 ml
- Tomato paste - 40 g
- Paprika (ground) – 1 tsp.
- Black Pepper - 4 peas
- Ground red pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Water (filtered) – 800 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the beef, dry it slightly and cut it into small pieces.
Peel and slice the bell peppers, onions and carrots.
Fry beef in a frying pan with oil until golden brown. Try to make each piece browned on all sides.
Add the onion and carrot and continue cooking for 4-5 minutes.
Add tomato paste mixed with a glass of water and simmer for 20 minutes under the lid.
Put the meat and vegetables in a saucepan, add bell pepper, black pepper and ground paprika.
Pour in the remaining water and continue to cook over low heat for another half hour.
Squeeze garlic through a press, season with salt and pepper and turn off after 5 minutes.
