Sweet breakfasts are good, but what if you want something completely different? In this case, catch a proven recipe for wheat porridge! I prefer to serve it with poached egg, fried mushrooms and herbs, but try your favorite combinations!

Ingredients

  • Wheat groats - 1 glass
  • Water - 3 glasses
  • Butter - 20 g
  • Salt - 1 pinch

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Fry the wheat groats in a frying pan, stirring, for 7-10 minutes until browned.

Boil water, add salt and add more hot cereal.

Cook the porridge for about 15 minutes, stirring, until the desired density.

Add the butter and let it stand under the lid for another 5 minutes.
