Pre-soak the peas for a few hours, rinse and boil for about 45 minutes.

Chop the onion, grate the carrots and fry.

Separately fry the sliced ham.

Whisk the peas, vegetables, spices, mustard, butter and a little liquid from the peas in a blender to the desired consistency.

Add the ham to the soup.
